As part of Autodesk’s subscription benefits, subscribers are afforded access to use of previous versions of subscribed products. From November 2nd, 2020, previous version rights will be extended from three versions to five.
Many Autodesk subscribers have requested this change to enable additional subscribers’ access to older versions to continue to work on ongoing projects or access older project data.
This change applies to all subscribers, however please check your specific product eligibility on the Autodesk Knowledge Network: Eligible Previous Versions.
Transition to Named User: 2-for-1 Offer:
Anyone taking advantage of the Autodesk’s Transition to Named User 2-for-1 offer will see their previous version rights reset to current plus three back. However, with this announcement, this will now be five versions back.
This change will enable subscribers to access up to five previous versions, however, Autodesk support will remain at current plus three versions back. The three previous versions will be downloadable via an Autodesk Account, with additional versions back available via Autodesk’s Virtual Agent, AVA.
