Updating Autodesk Fusion Lifecycle API-Integrations to use Forge-based Authentication

Greenpoint Technologies

Learn how to update Autodesk Fusion Lifecycle API integrations to use Forge-based authentication, ensuring secure, future-ready connectivity and performance.

The Customer’s Challenge

Greenpoint Technologies (A Safran Company) faced a tight deadline to update Autodesk Fusion Lifecycle API based integrations to use Forge-based authentication.

The Project Goals

Greenpoint Technologies relies on extensive integration between Autodesk Fusion Lifecycle, Autodesk Vault, and various business systems to automate key Engineering processes. Greenpoint's goal was to beat the Autodesk Fusion Lifecycle V1/V2 Authentication retirement deadline and avoid any disruption to business continuity.

The Solution

Symetri (Formerly Team D3) developed a Forge Authentication connector in JitterBit to replace the V1/V2 method being retired. To reduce turn time, Symetri (Formerly Team D3) and Greenpoint collaborated virtually to update the authentication endpoint for each Fusion Lifecycle integration.

The Business Outcome

Using a consumption-based pricing model helped keep the risk and cost as low as possible for Symetri (Formerly Team D3) and Greenpoint Technologies. Greenpoint and Symetri (Formerly Team D3) could adapt to uncertainty from continuously evolving requirements and minute-by-minute developments from Autodesk and JitterBit, without the need for a formal change order process.
