A: I went into it not knowing what to expect and came back with one of the greatest experiences in my career. From working our booth on the expo floor, to attending different sessions & connecting with new people, it was incredibly exciting to attend Autodesk University for the first time!
A: Be prepared to do a lot of walking and talking! Hydration is key to making it through the week. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there and be a little vulnerable to ensure that your maximize the opportunity to meet new people and network.
*Sessions are on-demand now, check out the full recordings and presentation materials now available here.
A: Don’t be afraid to be yourself with a professional spin. Leading up to AU I spent a lot of time thinking about what I would say & how in certain situations and when the time came, I just spoke as me about the things I know & it seemed to resonate as I was being authentic.
A: Seeing all of the parts of what makes up Symetri. Symetri US, Symetri EU, Team D3, and our partners like Allied BIM come together to deliver a great experience to all who came to our booth was very cool to see. Knowing that If I didn’t have an answer or solution for a potential client, I could take them 10-15 paces across the booth to someone in our organization who would be able to assist was an awesome feeling. Teamwork makes the dream work personified!
A: The future and power of AI is a big focus both for Autodesk and the industry as a whole. Also VR/AR/XR in construction is looking for good with some really cool technology on the horizon.
A: OF COURSE! Aside from potentially getting to see Nashville, I am looking forward to having 12 months to build a client base so that next year those folks come seek myself and Symetri out and we can further solidify the partnership we have built at the biggest industry event on the planet!
