Watch this video to learn more about the new fire safety standard, why it was introduced, and how to remain compliant.

Dame Judith recommended the introduction of a digital ‘golden thread’ of information as a tool to manage buildings as holistic systems and allow people to use information to design, construct and operate their buildings safely and effectively. Out of this a new Building Safety Act and Digital Management of Fire Safety Information Standard has been created.

The BS8644-1 Digital Management of Fire Safety Information Standard which was published on 29th July, aims to provide a more detailed framework and approach for addressing the areas mentioned in the Hackitt report.

In this on-demand webinar recording, Symetri's Construction Business Area Director Richard Brayshaw, and Head of Construction Consulting, Steve Rudge discuss:

  • More about the standard – why it was introduced and what it contains.
  • About its links to the Building Safety Act.
  • What is required to remain compliant.
